Oral Cancer & Biopsy
ORAL CANCER SCREENING
During exams, Dr. King and her staff take special care in examining the inside of your mouth for oral cancer. Oral cancer is much more likely to strike patients over 40, occurs more frequently in male tobacco users and drinkers, and can be fatal. Yet signs of oral cancer are caught in cancer’s early stages, the prognosis is much more positive and treatment successful.

Oral cancer develops on the tissues inside the lips, the mouth, back of the throat, tonsils, and salivary glands. These exams result in the early detection of cancerous tissues, making them a vital part of our fight against oral cancer.
BIOPSY
Dr. King will remove a sample of the area in question and send it to the lab for a full analysis. You will then meet with Dr. King for a consultation to discuss the options for treatment.
